The hard work and dedication didn’t end with these successes. With the dream of playing professional football Corey continued to draw upon his strong work ethic and dedicate himself to his craft. He was a four year starter for the Runnin’ Bulldogs of Gardner-Webb. During this time he was again rewarded for his effort and skill. The recognition included Second Team All-Conference, 2009; First Team All-Conference, 2010 and 2011; and Second Team All-America, 2011. Upon completing his collegiate career he was selected to the prestigious Washington Redskins as a Preferred Free Agent. Upon being released, he had a short down time before being called to a camp tryout for an arena football team in Illinois, The Chicago Rush. He earned a spot on the teams’ practice squad roster. Spending a very short time on the practice squad, he fought his way onto the teams active roster and started at their hybrid offensive line/tight end position.
After football, Corey searched for his true passion and found that helping young athletes and individuals reach their own physical potential and dreams was the aspect of fitness that inspired him. Having accumulated a wealth of knowledge over his athletic career, he decided to put it to use by helping young people, as he had been helped during his career. With the philosophy of “never be satisfied” he continues to educate himself, as well as search for and utilize new techniques with his clients, to best help them obtain the results they are reaching for.
